About the Participants.
Eduardo Sarabia (b. 1976, US) received his BFA from Otis College of Art and Design, Los Angeles. Recent solo exhibitions include Plumed Serpent Party, Museo Tamayo (2016); Ballad, Other Criteria, London (2015); Eduardo Sarabia, Instituto Cultural Cabañas, Guadalajara, and Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Oaxaca (2014); Tainted, Museum of Contemporary Art Denver (2013); and Eduardo Sarabia: Moctezuma’s Revenge, Arizona State University Art Museum, Tempe (2014) amongst others. His work has also been included in the Whitney Biennial (2008); the Moscow Biennial (2007); and the Prague Biennial (2003). He lives and works in Guadalajara, México.
Yutaka Sone (b. 1965, Japan) studied architecture at Tokyo University of the Arts, where he earned a BA and MA. Recently, Sone was the subject of solo exhibitions at Kunstalle Bern, Switzerland (2006); Aspen Art Museum, Colorado (2006); The Renaissance Society at the University of Chicago (2006); and MOCA, Los Angeles (2003), among others. His work has been included in the Whitney Biennial, Whitney Museum, New York, NY (2004); The 25th Biennal de São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil (2002); 13th Biennale of Sydney, Sydney, Australia (2002); and the Istanbul Biennial, Istanbul, Turkey (2001). In 2003, he represented Japan in La Bienale di Venezia, Venice, Italy. Sone lives and works in Los Angeles.
