Clara M. Kim, The Daskalopoulous Senior Curator, International Art (Africa, Asia & The Middle East) at the Tate Modern, London, delivers a lecture introducing her practice and recent projects.  

About the Lecture.

Clara M. Kim, who formerly served as Director of the Gallery at REDCAT in Los Angeles and as a curator at the Walker Art Center, delivers a lecture that introduces her practice as well as recent and forthcoming projects. Kim also discusses her new role as The Daskalopoulous Senior Curator, International Art (Africa, Asia & The Middle East) at the Tate Modern, London.

About the Curator.

Clara M. Kim is The Daskalopoulos Senior Curator, International Art (Africa, Asia & Middle East) at the Tate Modern in London where she focuses on the research, acquisition and exhibition of art from Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Previously, Kim served as senior curator at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and gallery director/curator of REDCAT in Los Angeles. Curatorial projects include a mid-career survey of Abraham Cruzvillegas (Walker Art Center, Haus der Kunst and Museo Jumex and Museo Amparo); an exhibition of new work by Mark Bradford (Rockbund Art Museum, Shanghai); An Album: Cinematheque Tangier, a project by Yto Barrada, and Minouk Lim: Heat of Shadows both at the Walker Art Center. She is currently working on the 2017 Hyundai Commission for Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall and an exhibition with Steve McQueen slated for 2018.
