Sabroso

Moment | Summer 2022

This summer we’re going back to basics-to intentionally slow down, listen, and devote our space and resources to artists and culture makers.

About the Moment.

Vivir Sabroso means a harmony between people and the land; freedom from fear, violence, and corruption. It means peace and dignity. This summer, we’re inspired by Colombia’s recent election and have been thinking about what Vivir Sabroso might mean in an art world that’s rushing back to a “normal” that wasn’t working. This season we’re holding space with artists in a program that is for them only. A program rooted in shared knowledges; practices of care, wellness, and healing; professional development; and mutual aid. Punctuated by some public moments, this summer we’re going back to basics-to intentionally slow down, listen, and devote our space and resources to the ones without whom none of our ecology would exist: artists and culture makers.

Please note that because our space is being used by artists this summer, we do not have regular visitor hours.
